Fishing Tips for October & November

    • Bass will be active when the water is warmer
    • Use aggressively presented baits at these times
    • In the mornings, afternoons, and evenings, you'll want to use very slowly presented baits like worms
    • The drop-shot and Carolina rigs are both popular
    • Trout will be available from the shore. During the summer months, anglers would have to troll exclusively to catch trout, often in depths of 50-60 feet. Anglers will still want to get deep for trout, look for shelves along the shoreline
    • Trolling is still a viable way to catch fish, simply adjust your depth closer to the surface
    • For trout, use nightcrawlers, Power Bait, or Power Eggs
    • Bluegill will be in mostly 5 to 25 feet of water
    • Panfish will continue to bite on small jigs with meal worms
    • Mini-jigs or mealworms work best for bait

Weather will be changing and improving over the next few months.
Pay close attention as this always has a profound effect on fishing.
